At the close the Under-23s were 19 for 3.There was a lot of excitement in East London as KwaZulu-Natal attemptedto chase down a target of 249 after Border had declared at 327 for 6with Bevan Bennett scoring a magnificent maiden hundred. His 126included 22 boundaries and a six. The Natal chase started well and at119 for 2 in looked like it was all over, but a spell from the Borderopening bowler Rowan Richards (5 for 53) saw five wickets fall for only40 runs. In the end time ran out and Natal settled for the draw.
